The Project

The SPLAT is back!  With approximately 130,000 Comic-Con attendees, Nickelodeon needed SWAG that cut through the noise of Comic Con while paying homage to their retro brand, The Splat.

The Objective

Our strategy was to create wearable products that emulated the network's most beloved characters - drawing attention and intrigue within Nickelodeon's immersive space and throughout the convention.  The result?  The space was highly publicized and generated much buzz around Nickelodeon's new "Legends of the Hidden Temple" movie.  In total, Nickelodeon generated over 147,220 reactions to the event on social media.   As an added bonus, Axis took home a coveted Gold PPAI Pyramid Award for this project.

The Products

We created custom oversized tote bags, custom foam wearables shaped like Chucky, of The Rugrats, hair, and produced matching paper eyeglass so that attendees could emulate the character as they walked around.   To create buzz around Legends of the Hidden Temple's movie release, we created wearable pins that could be worn during the show or saved as a collector's item.  We also created t-shirts for cast members.
